| About UsThe Light StudioMost people, when shopping on-line, feel happier dealing with a company which has both a proven track record, and a bricks and mortar presence. Here, at the light studio, we are able to back up our internet shop with a wealth of experience in retail sales of lighting. Our first showroom in Bedlington, Northumberland, (where the Terriers come from), is this year celebrating its 23rd Birthday! Our second showroom was in Gateshead, MetroCentre ( Europe's largest indoor shopping mall). Here we now have a stand alone unit, Interior Solutionz, as well as The Light Studio in the House of Fraser store. In 2004 we were very proud to be invited to open a lighting department within Jenners Department Store on Princes street, Edinburgh. At that time Jenners was still the largest independent department store in the U.K.. and is now owned by House of Fraser. In 2009, at the end of April, we left Jenners but agreed to remain in the Metrocentre House of Fraser.
Both MetroCentre and Jenners experience a high number of visiting tourists, and the opening of this on-line shopping facility was largely due to requests from those customers to be able to continue shopping with us when they returned home. While we appreciate that seeing and touching the goods in our showrooms can not be replicated on-line, we have endeavoured to ensure that the images we use are of the highest quality. |
